OPCMIA Local 72 is a labor organization representing Cement Masons and Plasterers in the Central & Eastern Washington, North Idaho and Montana areas. In November 2020 Local 478 out of the Tri-Cities merged with the Local 72 to create a larger jurisdiction for the members of both Locals. This merger created more working options for our ever growing number of members. We are dedicated to promoting skilled craftsmanship, safe working conditions and family wages and benefits.

About Us:
The OP&CMIA was founded in 1864, making it the oldest building trades labor organization in the world. Local 72 was chartered in 1890, and today our members work daily with some of the most advanced building materials in the construction industry. Our training and apprenticeship program provides training in all aspects of the Cement Mason & Plastering trades, including new and emerging technology and practices. We are dedicated to promoting quality craftsmanship, safe working conditions & family wages and benefits.
