Mike Wright

Meet our Staff

Mike has been a proud member of Local No. 72 since 2003, for the last 7 years he has been working as the Business Manager; helping to oversee The Local, staff and represent members. Before that he spent 30+ years working in the Spokane community as a Journeyman Cement Mason, with many of our current signatory contractors. Outside of work, Mike can be found spending time with his wife and family, completing DIY projects around the house and fishing in the beautiful PNW waters.  

Donald Wigen

Don has been a proud member of Local No. 72 since 2001. For the past three years, he has taken on a dual role as both a Business Agent and Apprenticeship Instructor. With 25 years of experience as a Journeyman Cement Mason, Don has worked with prominent companies like Acme Concrete Paving Inc. and Garco Construction. He also spent two months volunteering with a relief organization, helping to rebuild a small island south of Thailand. Outside of work, Don enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and reading. 

Jacob Bradley

Jacob has been a member of Local No. 72 since February 29, 2008, and has been working for two years as a Business Agent in our Tri-Cities, Area 2 location. Before taking on his current role, Jacob worked as a journeyman cement mason for Rodan & Son Concrete, who were signatory with us from February 2008 until July 2023 upon his father ‘s retirement and selling of the company. Jacob has worked on various big projects during his time as a journeyman but the most memorable for him have been the Walla Walla City Pool, Trios Southridge Hospital, Kadlec Hospital additions, Prosser High School, and the Pendleton Roundup fairgrounds addition. In his free time Jacob enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and being with his family. 

Lauren Rodgers

Lauren first started working as a part-time secretary with Local No. 478 15 years ago before the merger with Local No. 72 and has worked up to her current role as the OP&CMIA Local No. 72’s Office Manager. She also helps out part time with our Apprenticeship Program, inputting WPR’s, class scheduling, grading, and promotions. In her free time, Lauren can be found spending time with family and friends whether it is competing, wrenching, or just enjoying a show at the racetrack or an off-road event. She also spends her free time playing pool and subs in a league where she is known as the Bracket Master, during tournaments.  

Taylor Pfaff

Taylor began working for Local 72 in May of 2025 as the Spokane Office Administrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is pursuing her Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Taylor has 10+ years of experience in customer service, office administration, and people-first communication. In her free time, Taylor can be found with her family, tending to her indoor plants or exploring Spokane.  

Carl, Ernie & Peanut
Our resident office cats and honorary coworkers.  

Carl, our VP of Morale- He makes sure everyone feels welcome- Usually with a head bump and a cry for pets. Carl attends meetings, monitors productivity (from a sunny spot), and ensures that morale stays high. His open-door policy (as long as you bring cat cookies) keeps the team connected and comforted.  

Bernie, our Chief Mischief Officer (CMO) oversees all aspects of workplace disruption, unauthorized zoomies and general operational chaos. His responsibilities include surprise desk inspections, morale interference, and suspicious object investigations.  

Peanut is our ever-watchful Head of Surveillance- He prefers to work behind the scenes, guarding the property from flies, birds and other potential threats. With a sharp eye for movement and zero tolerance for nonsense, Peanut keeps things secure and running smoothly. Earning his attention is a rarity, unless cat cookies are involved.
