What We Do:

Concrete is the most widely used building material in the construction industry. Cement Masons place and finish concrete according to specifications on roads, buildings, homes, sports arenas & bridges - in fact, in most all man-made structures. In addition to hand trowel, broom and exposed aggregate, we can make concrete look like any natural material, such as slate, brick, stone or even wood. We color it, stain it, polish & also stencil it. Imagination is the only limitation with concrete.

Cement Masons also set forms, repair concrete with cement-based products, epoxy injection and fiber wrap. Our apprentices also learn to apply decorative and utilitarian toppings of epoxy and polymer-based cement products. In addition, students need to know how to operate the many types of power equipment and tools used to concrete finishing.

Safety training is a very important part of everything we do. Our apprentices and journey level Cement Masons & Plasterers are trained and certified in OSHA 10 and 30. Other safety training includes, confined space entry, first-aid, contact dermatitis, silica awareness and hazard communication to help keep our workers safe when on the job site.

Highly structured curriculum assures that every person is trained in every aspect of the Cement Mason & Plasterers trade.
